A Symposium on Construction of Airborne Remote Sensing Emergency
Response System Held in CEODE

Under the auspices of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Ministry of Science and Technology, a symposium on construction of airborne remote sensing emergency response system convened on 27 and 28 May in the Center of Earth Observation and Digital Earth (CEODE), CAS. Attendees include senior officers from Emergency Response Office of State Department, Ministry of National Development, Ministry of Transportation and the like. During the meeting, Prof. GUO Huadong, Director-General of CEODE delivered a speech on the essentiality and feasibility of building an effective emergency response system. This symposium eventually made an agreement that all institutions should quicken their pace to collaboratively construct an emergency response system.
